The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead crossover character was revealed Sunday night on Talking Dead. When FTWD premiered there was chatter amongst fans on whether the shows would cross paths at some point. This theory was quickly shot down by producers, saying that Fear is it’s own show and has its own timeline. The events that have happened and up to season three are said to be anywhere from a month to a year behind the events in The Walking Dead, though there has been no definite or official timeline established by AMC.
Robert Kirkman teased a possible crossover at Comic-Con International 2017 but gave no indication of what character and when it would take place. Fans immediately began speculating who would who the character would be. The most popular theories were Abraham, Eugene & Rosita. There was talk in Fear season three of the group traveling to Houston so the members of Abraham’s Army could be traveling through Texas at the time the group from Fear arrives. Michael Cudlitz even had some cryptic tweets that fans thought he was eluding to the possibility that he was going to be the crossover character.
There was also a tweet from Skybound The Walking Dead (that has since been deleted) posted, essentially letting the cat out of the bag that, yes, a character would be announced for the crossver.
Talking Dead quickly tweeted this pic after the tweet from Skybound The Walking Dead was deleted, telling us to get ready, The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead worlds are about to collide!
Fans were completely shocked when it was revealed the TWD character would be none other than Lennie James aka Morgan Jones! Check out as Chris Hardwick the live reveal on Talking Dead!
We are not gonna lie, were shocked at this! The TDC crew was super certain that Michael Cudlitz would be the actor to star in the crossover. We are pleased with the choice of Lennie James to be the one to move over to FTWD. He is a phenomenal actor and we know he will be a great addition to the already stellar Fear cast.
Lennie even broadcast from his first day on the Fear the Walking Dead set!
We are so pumped about Fear season four! If you have not caught up on seasons one-three start watching, it’s a great show!
